What is the reason why he hates his family?

Probably no reason. Maybe he just hates them-- or maybe it stems from a time his uncle James locked him in the closet and fed him nothing but egg sandwiches through the crack under the door for three days straight, all because he pissed his pants during a beating when he accidentally spilt his uncles beer on the carpet until his crank smoking mother came to get him for his eighth birthday, which was the day before, to take him to Chuck E. Cheese's just so she had an excuse to see her dealer that was working behind the ticket counter and get an eight ball of crap that almost made her overdose an hour later at home until the boy called the cops and was taken to a foster home, weeks later being stabbed with a pencil in the back of his ear by an autistic kid named Otis.
